Sourcing & Validation
Where do we source our data?
Where do we source our data?
We source qualitative data (such as asset descriptions, issuer names, and fees) directly from issuers.
For pricing data, we primarily rely on exchange aggregators like CoinGecko. If pricing isn’t available there, we source it directly from the issuer or the underlying blockchain network.
Onchain quantitative data (like transfer volume or number of holders) is pulled directly from blockchain networks.
How do we verify the accuracy of our data?
How do we verify the accuracy of our data?
All qualitative data is reviewed and verified by our team before it appears on the platform. Onchain data is cross-referenced with public blockchain explorers like Etherscan to ensure accuracy.
We also have automated systems that flag anomalies in pricing data. For example, if a submitted price deviates significantly from expected ranges, we’re alerted and follow up by cross-checking with the issuer or blockchain network to verify the data.
How do we handle sensitive or private issuer data?
How do we handle sensitive or private issuer data?
If an issuer or blockchain network wants to keep certain holder-related data private, we offer ways to anonymize sensitive fields. We’re also developing a feature in that will let issuers submit data with customizable privacy settings.
How long do we maintain historical data?
How long do we maintain historical data?
We maintain all historical data indefinitely. There’s no expiration date or retention limit on our data records.
